Putting a new spin on the classic melted cheese sandwich

Already a successful franchise and preparing to open its next shop at Post Office Square in late February, Melt Brothers is elevating the humble comfort food of the melted cheese sandwich to something more akin to gourmet comfort cuisine.

With stores already proving popular at Chermside, North Lakes and Uptown Centre, Melt Brothers’ owners, brothers Felix and Justin Kong, expect their range of New York alleyway inspired, grilled cheese sandwiches to be a hit with city workers and visitors at the Post Office Square location.

The options for your grilled cheese sandwich will truly boggle your mind and create an entirely new, delicious experience for your tastebuds.

Made with fresh white cottage bread, including gluten-free and vegan options, the range of choices includes mac and cheese, the Holy Cheezus, Porky Pig, avo and smoked salmon, a cream cheese bagel, and a club sandwich to mention but a few.

Or you may want to try some of the extras which include mozzarella sticks, cheesy chicken chips, extra cheesy loaded fries as well as smoothies, soft drinks and espresso coffee sourced from Brisbane suppliers.

Business partner James Mabey, 25, explained Melt Brothers had chosen Post Office Square to open its fourth store “as it is the heart of the corporate CBD with high foot traffic”.

“Our store will be a good way to escape the busy-ness of your day with great comfort food and good music in a fun comfortable space,” James continued.

“We make toasties to eat every day as they are a great comfort food and not over complicated.

“What we try to promote is welcoming service and it’s imperative for us to have a good relationship with our customers.”

That means listening to the feedback and being open to other melted cheese goodness options suggested by customers.

Once open, Melt Brothers will be serving their mouth-watering goodies from 7.00am to 3.00pm Monday to Friday.
